Junior PHP Developer
- Up to Up to £40,000 + Remote working (occasional office visits)
- Exciting series of greenfield software development projects
- PHP, OOP, Laravel, Agile, Docker, Unit Testing
- Must be UK based & able to work without visa sponsorship
Spectrum IT has partnered with an established logistics organisation that is a major player in Ecommerce and International logistics. They are about to embark on an expansive roadmap of greenfield tech projects that will streamline processes, create new opportunities for growth & be transformational for the business. As such, the board is now making a significant investment in their technology team & capability, tripling its size in the coming months.
The exciting tech platforms you will help shape & deliver will be varied, interesting & ones you will be proud of, involving delivery of everything from important financial documents to the latest ecommerce products to medical items that could save hundreds of thousands of lives.
As the junior PHP developer, you will be part of the core development team building, releasing and maintaining the code behind key software applications for the day to day running of the business. You'll have a software degree or equivalent and some experience with OOP and writing clean well structured code.
Key Skills:
- A software engineering or computer science degree
- Awareness of good software engineering principles
- An ability to write good quality, maintainable, secure, performant code
- Prior experience with OOP programming and a modern PHP framework
- Working with agile software development methodology
Beneficial skills
- Experience with tools such as Doctrine, Docker, Git, Pest
- Experience with TDD and/or unit testing
- Experience in the Logistics industry
